Residential Plan for Total Backyard Renovation
This
client is the owner of a landscape design and
installation firm. Her project in
Dekalb County required a design solution to meet a rush
deadline, and her existing project load required
outsourcing for this design, so she hired me. Her client desired
a total backyard renovation (except the existing pool
structure) and a low-maintenance plant scheme.
THE SOLUTION
This design
takes advantage of the existing site grades and vantage
points from the house, free-standing home office
(former garage) and pool. Plants combinations ensure
year-round interest and provide a beautiful outdoor
setting for entertaining. In addition, we
recommended a dry creek in the front yard to serve as an
aesthetically appealing means to channel stormwater
runoff down the steep slope from the house to the
street.
